Perhaps the most endearing of collectibles are the action figure dolls first put out by American Character around 1966.  There's a Ben, Hoss, Joe and "Outlaw" doll complete with accessories and horses.  It is likely the "outlaw" doll was intended to be Adam but when Pernell Roberts left the series at the end of 1965 the ingenuous manufacturer simply painted a mustache on the man-in-black doll and he served as the villain instead.

Condition is all-important when collecting so look for figures in good condition with no missing parts or accessories, and figures accompanied by their original boxes are at a higher premium.

Along with the characters and horses, a 4-in-1 wagon set was available with numerous accessories.  Over the 40 intervening years many of these wagon sets lost some of their parts and it is extremely difficult to find a relatively complete set.

Viewmaster
This 1964 set of viewmaster slides depicts the episode A Pink Cloud Comes From Old Cathay, featuring all four Cartwrights.

Cap Guns and Holsters
Probably the favourite of the 1960s boys were the Bonanza cap guns and pistols. Here's a leather holster marked BONANZA but minus the cap gun.

Rummy Game
With the Bonanza Rummy Game a family could stay home and play old-fashioned games around the table, just like the Cartwrights pictured above

Lunch Boxes
What child of the 60s wouldn't have loved to take their lunch to school in a box featuring characters from their favourite tv western?  Boxes still containing the original thermos are more valuable.
